wHAT TO EXPECT?
Every Day?
On the day of your Collagen rejuvenation Therapy (CRT) appointment, please arrive with a clean face and no makeup; you can and should wear sunscreen, as always. There is no need for a consultation appointment prior to the day of the procedure. Upon arrival, I will discuss with you your concerns and desired outcome of the procedure. If we decide that you are a good candidate for CRT, we will determine the best treatment options for you and proceed with the treatment. I will cleanse your face with alcohol-based soap and apply a numbing cream. While the numbing is taking effect we will fill out the required forms and begin the procedure.
For CRT, I use the MD Pen skin needling system which allows for controlled activation of the skin’s self-repair mechanism. This skin needling procedure is performed in a safe and precise manner with the use of a one-time-use sterile needle head cartridge designed specifically for the MD Pen. The procedure is normally completed within 30-60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
After the procedure, the skin will be red and flushed in appearance, similar to a moderate sunburn. There may also be skin tightness, skin dryness and mild sensitivity in the treatment area. The redness and sensitivity will diminish greatly within just a few hours of the treatment and over the following 24 hours. After three days, there will be little evidence of side effects.
Before leaving you will be given home care instructions both verbally and in writing.

What does Micro needling feel like?
As a technician lightly presses and glides an activated MD Pen™ across your skin, treatment sensations can vary. Most MD Pen patients have reported the treatment to be well-tolerated and to feel like light sandpaper moving across the skin.
Will I bleed?
The manner in which the MD Pen penetrates the skin will depend on your level of treatment. It is possible to see some pinpoint bleeding that will end shortly after the treatment session.
How long will it take to complete a treatment?
A full face and neck anti-aging treatment is normally completed within 20 to 40 minutes. Other skin condition treatment times will vary depending on the size and number of the area(s) being treated.
How many treatments should I have?
Depending on your treatment goals and your skin condition, you may decide to have a single treatment, or the practitioner may advise you to have a series of four to eight treatments spaced two to six weeks apart.
How will my skin feel after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment, your skin may be sensitive to touch and appear red or flushed, similar to a moderate sunburn. Usually, within four to six hours, redness and sensitivity will diminish, and with 24 hours the micro channels will feel healed. Normally, after two to three days, the redness and sensitivity will end, allowing a new, radiant complexion to shine through.
Are there any potential side effects?

How do I take care of my skin after the treatment?

At Beauty by Design, we are entirely committed and focused on making sure each of our guests receives the ultimate luxury experience. If you have concerns with a service you received, please contact us within 48 hours. NO REFUNDS, whatsoever, are offered on any of our lash + brow + microneedling services. If you have an allergic reaction to a lash extension service we provided, a removal will be offered free of charge. Retail products and Gift certificate purchases are also non-refundable.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations or rescheduling are only accepted 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. SAME DAY CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS will be charged a 50% fee for permanent makeup services, while all other services will be charged the full amount of the missed service.
